Undesirable

There they sit, under the tree’s newly top
I can see them
Because they forgot me in their car
I’m the only child they have
Theirs little angle
And the greatest reason to love
Since I was born
They always have got second thoughts
about me
But I’m a gift
in spite of everything
I’m the messenger of love
And they say
That they love each other even more now
I’m undesirable
But I’m a belonging
They need to carry around

I’m just a nuisance
An embarrassment
An accessory that they drag around
Behind the windows
They hardly think of me
My crying is a call
It’s a wish to get food
A wish to be loved
But they love me
Because dad’s hand is kissing my cheek
